The original 'War of the Worlds' movie
This icon came out the year I was born, 1953, and as an older child I loved it, and the manta ray crafts and their cool ray gun sounds were, along with dinosaurs and space ships, were among my most fun obsessions then. I am so glad I checked YouTube....the infamous battle scene that dazzled me for years during rare broadcasts in TV back then (WAY pre-VHS and DVD!) is there in hi-res!. Enjoy

Prehistoric Forest Preserved
Ever since childhood I've long for a time machine so I could see landscapes such as this one.....a forest without trees.

A Breathtaking Performance Of One Of My Favorite Love Songs
My heart spills over with admiration of, and gratitude to, the many gifted people who together created this masterpiece, each and every time I play it. Simply remarkable. John

Cool flying wing!
My paper flying wing planes in Denver always had winglets that drooped down...if I made them tilt up in the usual position, the planes would invariably porpoise! I'm reviving an RC foam plane project begun by me and a former friend who turned me onto this affordable approach, a healthy legacy of our relationship, by using three carbon fiber fishing pole tips to use to both strengthen the wings and also to join them to the foam lifting body glider that will house the battery, with the motor THIS time mounted on the rear. I love this jet-powered flying wing! Amazing that jet engines can be so tiny!

Pics From Yesterday's March On South Tampa's MacDill AFB, Home To Central Command
We got several angry LONG honks and birds shot at us, but MANY more thumbs up, peace signs, waves and smiles and friendly toots. The police were polite, friendly and helpful.

Refuse to "Serve"!!
"The feudal barons of the Middle Ages, the economic predecessors of the capitalists of our day, declared all wars. And their miserable serfs fought all the battles. The poor, ignorant serfs had been taught to revere their masters; to believe that when their masters declared war upon one another, it was their patriotic duty to fall upon one another and to cut one another's throats for the profit and glory of the lords and barons who held them in contempt. And that is war in a nutshell. The master class has always declared the wars; the subject class has always fought the battles. The master class has had all to gain and nothing to lose, while the subject class has had nothing to gain and all to lose-especially their lives."

The Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows".
I am so thankful for this lusciously trippy composition that has inspired and transported me, probably hundreds of times, since it came out.
