....yet the military-industrial-economic-media machine daily demonizes Iran, who has attacked no country in four centuries and is a full signatory to the NPT and has submitted to even the surprise "Additional Protocol" inspections by the IAEA, who found NO violations or diversions of ANY atomic or nuclear material. The US signed the NPT years ago, did not ratify it, refuses ANY inspections by the IAEA it demands of other nations like Iran, and Israel will not sign the NPT. But, like Iraq, Iran sits atop VAST quantities of oil, hence the US sponsored 1953 coup that overturned a democracy and installed the Shah. Let's see....demonize an NPT signatory in compliance with severe mandates demanded by Britain and the U.S. that has attacked no one in four hundred years while neither Israel or the U.S. can go for four YEARS without pre-emptively attacking a nation and killing vast numbers of civilians, like the 1.3 MILLION lost in Iraq to the Bush regime's deceptions and war crimes. Despite its defiance of dozens of UN resolutions against it, and stark defiance of the tenets of decency in the Geneva Conventions, including the perennial inhumane treatment of the Palestinians in their own ancestral lands, Israel gets a guaranteed US veto in the UN, three billion annually in cash, plus massive military aid.
Yet some wonder why America is no longer trusted and admired, but instead, feared. John
