I know for a fact that I would be a very different man had I not heard, then been entranced by, this trippy song when it came out when I was in 9th grade at Madison Junior High here in Tampa, 1967 as I recall. To this day I revel in its celebration of exploring the EXPERIENCE of creativity and enigma. For many years my favorite Beatles song was 'Hey Jude', but some years back 'I Am The Walrus' eclipsed that gem plus 'Why' by Yoko Ono and the Twin Peaks theme song. Enjoy, John
