As many years as this piece has moved me ( it is right near the top with Yoko Ono's 'Why' and The Beatles' 'I Am The Walrus' and the theme for 'Twin Peaks' for me) I keep getting delightfully surprised at how malleable of a work it is in the hands of conductors and orchestras. I love the balanced mix of string and brass and percussion in this performance, plus find the attractive conductor's athletically sensual style of joining all musicians present into one cohesive group admirable.
