An Earlier "Aerodynamic U.S. Enterprise" project some years back

It was fun conceptualizing then enacting the forms but I never really liked Denny said back looks like a frog.  John

Saturn moon Hyperion images

Appalachian Spring

This stellar performance of my favorite symphony brings me to tears of joy everytime due to its execution and the close up views of various orchestral members, each making their own contribution to a grand total. I usually watch the first of the three segments but now and then indulge in all three. Enjoy, John

Film About George Harrison

I learned of this today and look forward to seeing and hearing it. John

Israel is NOT America's Friend!

Google their 1967 attack on the U.S.S. Liberty and our sailors killed.  John
"If you follow your bliss, you'll have your bliss whether you have money or not. If you follow money, you may lose the money, and then you don't have even that. The secure way is really the insecure way and the way in which the richness of the quest accumulates is the right way." - Joseph Campbell

Greenfield Morning I Pushed an Empty Baby Carriage All Over the City

When I heard this wonderfully danceable piece in 1970 I was transfixed. I got lost in it and 'Paper Shoes' from the same album, the first time I did acid three days before I graduated highschool in 1971, having smoked cannabis just three times. To this day I feel this work to be provocative and inspiring and way ahead of its time. John

Northrop Flying Wing Revisited

Remarkable dedication and work by this team to recreate a truly revolutionary airplane six decades later!  John

I Don't Know Yet Who Wrote This But I Love it

There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who will make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat your right, and pray for the ones who don't. Life is to short to be ANYTHING but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living..

Mars boulder

To my eyes it looks like it was ripped from molten rock. I love the Mars Rovers!!!  John

"Wingless" Planes

For years I've been enamored with the concept of a plane's fuselage GENERATING lift  vs. it being a heavy tube held aloft by separate load-bearing wings, and so I am glad to have noticed this cool, old-timey video about radical planes that flew many years ago. Too cool.   John

WTC Building 7

On 9-11, despite my being filled with horror and rage and fear like most Americans, when Building 7 dropped, and in the manner it did, I was immediately suspicious. The next day, when the Bush regime somehow knew, without presenting ANY evidence that Bin Laden did it, said he did it, then miraculously posted photos of all seventeen hijackers who supposedly died in the impacts, and claimed to have somehow found Atta's passport, INTACT, in the rubble around the World Trade Center, I began to deeply doubt the official story. Let's not forget that the US staged and lied about the "Gulf of Tonkin Incident" so as to expand dramatically the Vietnam War, which created MANY millionaires. To see 1,500 architects and engineers say that the presence of nano-thermite in the 9-11 dust samples, that NO steel building had EVER collapsed from fire vs. three in ONE day, and eyewitness testimony about explosions in the basements plus seeing molten steel (produced only by thermite in such a setting) makes me also demand a REAL investigation this time vs. the joke of one done by the Bush Regime. The evidence and history both suggest that 9-11 was a "false flag" operation to expand the Empire designed to rally the US public into supporting invading Iraq and Afghanistan, both RICH in resources, as is, curiously, Libya. If crimes of such magnitude were commited by the Bush Regime, justice is LONG overdue. This 15 minute video by that organization of engineers and architects is damning to the official account of 9-11. John

Hypocrisy about Public Displays of Affection

Very thoughtful and well done. John

Gay? Catholic? Don't Want The World to End?

Don't vote for Bachman!  John

Bachman and Perry and Dominionism

I've been aware of this very scary Christian cult for years and am surprised it is news to both hosts......Dominionists in the Bush/Cheney cabal pushed for the invasion of Iraq. An America run by a narrow-minded, hate-based Christian Taliban? No thanks!  John

A Stunningly Unique and Futuristic Plane I'd Never Heard of ......

I love the version with the rear wing tips drooping down...looks so cool. A shame its intent is not transport of people or goods but bombs. John

A Beautiful Fuel Efficient Airliner Proposal

I think the unusual tail section and the moderate blending of the wings into the fuselage looks SO cool....I'd love to see these taking off and landing at Tampa International Airport. John

Ron Paul: Limit Military Spending to National Defense

Makes sense to me vs. the ongoing Manifest Destiny-inspired empire building campaign dating easily to taking our resource-rich southwestern states from Mexico by force, also a "false flag" operation like the Gulf of Tonkin incident, and, likely, 9-11. John

My "new" mouse double clicks and some how leads me to cool videos.

I see now I was guilty for dismissing them out of hand  as a "young teens band". Nice video. John

Appalachian Spring

I relish his ferociously masculine style of conducting my favorite symphony...what a wonderfully Cro-Magnon hunk!   John

Incredible Artificial Seagull!

Link test for a RADICAL Cadillac concept!

It looks like the dead links problem was due to my using Firefox as my browser. Now I am using Internet Explorer and it looks like I can again share active links.  GORGEOUS car!  John

Dead Links

It looks like since I switched from my ancient Dell to my new PC, every link I have posted has been inactive vs. the automatic effortlessness before. I'd be very grateful if someone could enlighten me as to the cause and solution.  John

'Wayne's World'

Just a few weeks ago I remembered this deliciously rude, adolescent, sexual and thus funny gem of a comedy. Here is a nice buffet of their finer moments of badness. Stacy slamming into the Camaro on her bike makes me laugh out every time....pure Three Stooges slapstick!   Enjoy, John

'Caribbean Blue'

I have always been captivated and elevated by the lovely song itself, but when I found the official video a few years ago I found it to be exquisitely conceived and eloquently executed. It reminds me of the movie 'Photographing Fairies' with its surrealistic yet Victorian feel, tinged by longing.  Enjoy, John

classically raw energy from Yoko Ono

My Newest Airworthy Starship Design Proposal

I mothballed this one a couple years ago. Back then a sci-fi friend wanted me to add engines to ALL the wings as homage to both the Romulan Warbirds and the main ship in 'Battlestar Galactica'. But now, with it having been out of sight out of mind for about 2 years, I like my original design theme of a winged U.S.S. Enterprise that could fly in a planet's atmosphere and land on the surface, heresy to most Trekkers. The 10 year old in me LOVES the looks of this thing! All that remains is to resolve the gap in the upper surface of the fuselage, choose a spray paint color to visually tie together the various components from models and toys, rub it lightly with dry soil to "age" it like Gerry Anderson did his models, then apply the appropriate decals. I may call it the Enterprise G. Enjoy, John

Scientists can be amazing people

Give me the inquiry, hard work and creative experimentation of this caliber over "God did it, don't think, get over it, just tithe and obey"  Creation Science anyday.   John

Short but superb clip about the making of 'Yellow Submarine'

The year the movie 'Yellow Submarine'  came out I was loving poetry by e.e. cummings and Rod McKuen and still reeling from 'I Am The Walrus' and Sgt. Pepper. Poetry was my sole creative medium then. Here it is 2011 and I am STILL reeling from all that and more. If this is a case of arrested development, I'm grateful. I loved this movie then, had a VHS of it for a few years then it broke, and I've yet to fnd this wonderfully evocative trippy animated film on DVD despite many searches. But I look forward to viewing it once again but THIS time, deliciously altered, bathed by my surround sound system.

I know The Beatles were "just a band", four guys whose energies synchronized with culture and events. And to me that is the magic of the gifts they gave the world along with their wondrous music.

Nice to see, belatedly, how this wonderful movie came about. Enjoy, John

A Very Imaginative Russian Aircraft Designer

When I was in 5th grade I went mental over planes with double delta wings, especially if they also had canards. If I would have seen some of this guy's designs back then I would have levitated!   John

Saving a Whale at Sea

Thanks to my friend Pat for sending me this touching and inspiring video!  John

Futuristic Honda Civic

I love this sleek model and the very cool "light bar" spanning the front end, like an updated version of the 1985 Mercury Sable. Bummer we never got this stunner here in the U.S. !   John
