I have been a member of a cars forum for years now.....fun, passionate discussions about GM and other cars, plus threads covering a wide range of topics from technology and politics to environment and movies and more. Many lifelong Cadillac fans there and elsewhere were very disappointed by the unveiling of the XTS....way too conservative vs. the opulent flamboyance of yore. A few of the posters at http://www.gminsidenews.com/ like MonaroSS, create stunning, skillfully-executed images of auto design proposals of their own creation. Monaro had recently posted such a vision for a Cadillac flagship, and I was swept away, enamored, giddy. But then a few days ago, a member who said I could identify as "Marc Silverman aka: Rex Raider", posted his truly stunning, sleek, regal and imposing vision of a 21st century Cadillac flagship, and I have been mesmerized ever since, using that image instead of the usual awesome pecs pic as wallpaper. It even has fins as I have been ranting about for years at GMI....I feel that Cadillacs MUST have fins of some form as part of escaping the last 20 years of design anonymity.
If Cadillacs again look this remarkable, and soon, and are endowed with leading edge technology and unrivalled pampering interiors, I bet they will regain their crown pronto!
