HiRise orbital surveying of Mars





The HiRise spacecraft orbiting Mars is taking amazingly high resolution photos of Mars during its multi-year survey, revealing what seems to be shorelines of ancient seas, dried riverbeds, plus is spotting current deposits of frost and ice. One of the features that HiRise, the rovers, and Mars Express (see link below) have discovered in that Mars has some stunningly beautiful dunes fields, often within craters. I have attached some color-enhanced photos taken by HiRise showing the lovely patterns in a few of these dune fields. enjoy, John
